Description: We are looking for a reliable Safety & Security Manager to create and maintain a safe and secure environment for employees, visitors, and stakeholders, while also protecting the organization's assets, reputation, and continuity of operations. As a safety manager you must have excellent attention to detail to identify hazards. You will also be able to discover opportunities for improving conditions and execute various safety programs. The ability to communicate guidelines to a multidisciplinary workforce is essential. The Safety and Security Manager will plan and coordinate the safety and security operations of the organization. Job Summary:Training and Education: Provide regular training and awareness programs to employees on safety procedures, emergency response protocols, security awareness, and risk mitigation strategies.Incident Response: Develop and implement incident response procedures to effectively manage and respond to safety and security incidents, including conducting investigations, documenting incidents, and implementing corrective actions.Develop Policies and Procedures: Establish and implement effective safety and security policies, procedures, and protocols aligned with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices.Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant safety, security, and regulatory requirements, standards, and laws applicable to the organization's operations and industry.Risk Assessment: Conduct comprehensive risk assessments to identify potential hazards, threats, and vulnerabilities within the organization's operations, facilities, and surrounding environment.Emergency Preparedness: Develop and maintain emergency response plans, including procedures for various types of emergencies such as fires, natural disasters, medical emergencies, and security incidents.Security Systems and Technologies: Oversee the installation, maintenance, and operation of security systems and technologies, including access control systems, surveillance cameras, alarm systems, and intrusion detection systems.Physical Security: Implement measures to safeguard physical assets, facilities, and infrastructure, such as perimeter security, access control, lighting, and secure storage facilities.Crisis Management: Develop and maintain crisis management plans to address major incidents or disasters that may pose a significant threat to the organization's operations, reputation, or stakeholders.Continuous Improvement: Regularly review and evaluate safety and security programs, processes, and procedures to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions to enhance effectiveness and efficiency.Minimum Qualifications: Knowledge: A strong understanding of occupational health and safety regulations, standards, and best practices is essential. Should be familiar with OSHA regulations (or equivalent regulatory bodies in other countries), industry-specific safety standards, and risk management principles.Skills:Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively communicate safety policies, procedures, and training materials.Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to lead safety initiatives, engage employees, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.Analytical and problem-solving skills to identify safety hazards, assess risks, and develop effective mitigation strategies.Organizational and project management skills to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and oversee safety programs and initiatives.Experience: At least five years of leading Safety and Security programs experience required. Computer Proficiency: Proficiency in using computer software and applications relevant to safety management, such as Microsoft Office Suite, safety management software, incident reporting systems, and data analysis tools.Regulatory Compliance: Familiarity with local, state, and federal occupational health and safety regulations and the ability to ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements.Commitment to Continuous Learning: A willingness to stay updated on emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in occupational health and safety through ongoing professional development and training. Preferred Qualifications Education: A bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety, occupational safety or similar field is preferred. Preferred Certifications:Certified Safety Professional (CSP)Occupational Health and Safety Technician (OHST)Associate Safety Professional (ASP)Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST)Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH)Certified Safety and Health Manager (CSHM)First Aid/CPR/AED certification may also be required. Physical Requirements:Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Ability to travel throughout the Ranch as required to conduct safety inspections. Able to work outdoors in various weather conditions and ability to travel throughout facility as required to conduct safety inspections.Ability to walk and be on feet most of the workday.Ability to climb stairs and ladders. Ability to enter confined spaces. Ability to carry up to 50-pounds of safety/construction related equipment.
